Here's a straightforward checklist:

  • Consistent quality across batches: Your oolong milk tea should taste the same whether you ordered last month or last week. Single-estate or small-batch suppliers tend to do this better than commodity importers.
  • Food safety certifications: Look for ISO 22000, CGMP, or FDA compliance. If you're selling food in the US, your suppliers need documented food safety practices.
  • Flexible MOQ: Minimum order quantities matter when you're starting out. Some suppliers require container quantities; others work with 1kg or 5kg minimums.
